Definition

An activity for those who want to improve their skiing. Groups of 6 people doing two days of advanced ski mountaineering.

Physical-Technical Level

Parallel turns on all types of terrain. It requires a good physical condition and the ability to climb 1,000m of elevation gain in a comfortable way.

Planning

Avalanche safety protocols, ARVA handling and avalanche victim rescue.
Basic notions of nivology and avalanches.
Choice of routes, mountain orienteering.
Choice of routes and leading the group.
Turns adapted to the snow and slope.

Materials

Ski mountaineering equipment (skis, boots, skins, ski-blades, poles, rental option).
Backpack (25-35 liters) with ski rack.
Safety equipment: DVA, shovel and probe.
Helmet, crampons and ice axe.
Ski mountaineering pants.
Thermal T-shirt (first layer).
Polar fleece or similar (second layer).
Gore-Tex type jacket or similar (third layer).
Light and thin primaloft or feather jacket.
Thin fleece-type gloves and thick gloves.
Hat.
Sunglasses and goggles.
Water bottle or thermos, minimum 1 liter.
Sunscreen and lip protection.

Price

The price of this activity is 170€.
If you want accommodation with the activity, the price is 250€.

Accommodation

We have the Aran Hostel reserved exclusively for Ternua Experiencie. It is mandatory to book two nights and the regimen is bed + breakfast in a shared room.
