Definition

Groups of 6 people to experience, explore and feel the freedom of the snow in a 100% authentic freeride experience.

Physical-Technical Level

Parallel turning on all types of terrain. It requires a good physical condition and to be used to walking in the mountains.

Planning

In this course, you will work on essential equipment and how to use it correctly, including avalanche victim device (AVD), shovel and probe. In addition, you will learn how to interpret the weather forecast and how to read the inherent mountain conditions and hazards.
Safety protocols for ascents, descents and how to act in case of avalanches or accidents will be shown.
We will also practice how to perform snow stability tests in an accurate way.
Different types of turns adapted to the snow and slope, and how to choose routes with control and fluidity will be discussed.

Materials

Specific ski mountaineering equipment (freeride type).
DVA, shovel and probe.
Helmet.

Price

The price of this activity is 170€.
If you want accommodation with the activity, the price is 250€.

Accommodation

We have the Aran Hostel reserved exclusively for Ternua Experiencie. It is mandatory to book two nights and the regimen is bed + breakfast in a shared room.
